Chuck and Dons

Chuck & Don’s is a premium pet store concentrating on creating an experience for loyal customers.

I was brought on to help with phased work over several years helping to enhance the Chuck & Don’s customer. The first step was to optimize their existing custom CodeIgniter site. I updated their inventory management systems and added a new payment provider. Once these initial projects were completed, I designed a feature enabling customers to place an order online and pick it up instore.

During Phase 2, the Chuck & Don’s site was migrated to Magento cloud (Enterprise). I was tasked with bringing over existing products and subscriptions. I used Aheadworks subscription extension and a few customizations to tackle subscription updates. We also added Rpro integration to help with inventory management and to provide customers with real time inventory updates for their in-store pickup. Finally, I created a feature integrating Uber Direct for local order deliveries.
