Appliance Depot is a small retail company based in Inver Grove Heights, MN offering new home appliances. Appliance Depot is also one of the largest home appliance and electronic recyclers in Minnesota, accepting appliances, electronics, light bulbs, batteries and more.

This client came to us with some challenging issues that needed fixing in order for their eCommerce business to thrive. My primary duty was to move the existing website to a new server in order to upgrade the site and speed it up. Upon moving this site to a new server, it was revealed that the previous file naming system was breaking product images. To solve this problem, I created a script that re-named files based on their database fields.

I also set up attribute sets to improve incorrect data mapping and more effectively display data. Finally, I created an extension that allowed for my client to restrict shipping options based on the location of the customer.

My contributions to this site provided a much needed upgrade to a formerly slow eCommerce website. I also designed customized solutions to unique problems that streamlined the process for my client and improved the user experience.
